It is normal for blood sugars to go up when you eat!. When you test your blood sugars, do it before each meal, and 2 hours after your meal!. You are doing ok, the normal ranges for a diabetic (even gestational) is 110 to 180 fasting and 140 to 235 2 hours after a meal!. Just start cutting down on your carbs and do some walking during the day for about 30 min!. if you can!. Being stressed out can also raise your blood sugars, so try to relax when you can!. You have to learn to control your diet while you have this problem, and I know you can do it!. You have done very well so far!. Don't let others tell you that your blood sugars are way out of whack because they are not!. Stay focused and continue to do what you have been doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

lay off breads, pastas, and rice and potatoes!.

eat more green vegetables and protein!.

NO SUGAR!. NO CAKES, PUDDINGS, PIES, ETC!.

if you lay off the REGULAR SODAS, and other sweets, you will bring your sugar down!.

If you don't take care of yourself, you will regreat it!.

You are not a gestational diabetic if you had the baby 9 months ago unless you are pregnant again!. YOU are a full diabetic now!.

gestational diabetes only attacks those who are pregnant and usually goes away after birth!. But you said it has been 9 months since the baby was born, and you had no problems while carrying the child, you are type 2!.

find another doctor who will give it to you straight!.

Where is your current child's father, or grandparents!? If you truly have no one to take care of that child, and you do need to go to the hospital, you may have to enlist the help of child protective services to take care of her/him!. And since you just had this child 9 mos!. ago, and are again pregnant without benefit of a partner in house, please consider birth control for the future!. You need to concentrate on caring for yourself and your little ones without adding to the mix!.!.!.!.!.speak to your physician about your situation and maybe she can refer you to the proper agency for your current baby!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is serious!. If you can't control it with diet, you will need to take insulin!. If the diabetes is bad, diet alone wont control it!. From what you are telling me, it sounds like you might need the insulin!. In the meantime, try to keep your sugar down by eating less carbs!. Measure your sugar 2 hours after you eat and if its over l60, I would say that is too high!. If you educate yourself about diabetes you might not need to be put in the hospital to get it under control!. Talk to your doctor about how you can be taught about diabetes, diet and insulin without going in the hospital!. Before your appointment, read everything online you can find and educate yourself!. Its not that hard to control once you have the right information!.
This is very dangerous for you and your growing fetus!. It must be taken care of!. It gets worse as the pregnancy goes on, so don't delay!. Get to your next appointment and do whatever he says!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to follow doctors orders exactly, including hospitalization, if necessary!.

A reading of even 200 if FAR too high!. The 115 is just barely normal!.

Gestational diabetes will usually go away after you have the baby, and return to your normal pre-pregnancy weight!.

But in the mean time the gestational diabetes can damage your baby, including miscarriage and birth defects! The longer your sugars stay high, the more dange you have of losing the baby, or having a baby with birth defects!.

it is EXTREMELY important -- for your baby -- that you be properly treated NOW!. If the doctor thinks you need to be hospitalized, then that may save your baby!. Hospital social workers can help you with care of your other child while you are hospitalized!. They may also be able to help you pay for the visits!.

So make you Friday appointment, go to the hospital, if necessary, get the diabetes under control, and SAVE YOUR BABY!
