That can happen if you leave a tampon in too long, or you have some other object - even a piece of toilet paper - up there!. If you can't easily find some foreign object and remove it, you'll need to see your gynecologist!. After you've resolved the problem, you'll need to make sure you stay clean!. A lukewarm water douche with a small amount of white vinegar is a good cleanser!.

It depends on when you are having it!. It is not unusual to have a brown discharge after your period and it will have a smell b/c it is old blood that you are getting out of your body!. If you are just having it for no particular reason, then it could be something else altogether and I would get it checked out!. If the discharge is from your period ending, I'd douche to help get rid of the blood and it should also help with the bad odor!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
