Cough that wont go away?
For about two weeks now ive had this cough, its pretty bad all the time, but gets worse when i lay down, a lot of times theres wheezing that goes along with it. And sometimes when i get to coughing hard i get a metallic taste in my mouth. I have no other "cold"symptoms, no runny nose, sneezing, im not coughing anything UP...its very strange..what is it?

It could be asthma. Often with asthma there's a non-productive (nothing comes up) cough, that will get worse at night. Frequently there is wheezing and shortness of breath.
Children often describe it as "an elephant is sitting on my chest." Adults are more adept at descriptions, and sometimes say it feels like they're suffocating, but they know they're not.
It could also be pneumo-thorax (air between the lung and the sac that surrounds it).
Go see your doctor, a couple of good tests for asthma include FEV (forced expiratory volume) and PFV (peak flow volume/rate). They're perfectly painless, and treatment is usually pretty straight-forward.
