If I have pneumonia will I have to stop dilaudid, fentanyl etc?!


Question: If I have pneumonia will I have to stop dilaudid, fentanyl etc!?
If so what will happen!? Or is there anything I could do so it doesn't seem like I have pneumonia!? I'm scared of having to come off these!.!.!.

No, you will not!. - assuming you have cancer and prescribed pain meds!. You still need your pain meds especially when sick with pneumonia!. Large doses of morphine might be more sedating to your breathing but the dilaudid and fentanyl should be fine if you also take adjunct meds to aid your breathing capability!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No they should no take you off of the pain meds!. They should treat your pneumonia with something that will work with your meds!.
