Itching and Muffled Hearing after Ear Infection Treatment?!

Question: Itching and Muffled Hearing after Ear Infection Treatment!?
About 2 weeks ago I tried cleaning my ears with Debrox, a peroxide mixture sold in grocery stores to clear up excessive ear wax!. It definitely loosened the wax, but obstructed my ear canal in the form of a wax ball!.

I made an appointment with the doctor and he washed out my ears with this water syringe thing!. I told him there was pain when he did it, he checked and he noticed I had an externa infection!. He prescribed me Coly Mycin S Otic and antibiotic pills!. I did both twice a day for 7 days as prescribed!.

Two days after the cycle, I noticed that my ears were beginning to get itchy!. The next day the itching intensified!. I read online that it may be a fungal infection due to the loss of bacteria in my ear canal!. I used a vinegar/water mixture in my ears twice (once in the afternoon and once in the evening) and it felt relatively better (I think)!.

Its been two days since then and the itching is still there - not as intense as before, but still present!. Also, my hearing is somewhat muffled!. I also feel somewhat of a dry itchy skin near the entrance of my ear canal!.

My question is this a fungal infection!? Is it an allergic reaction (even if it occured 2 days after 7 days of treatment)!? Is it something else (dermatitis, allergies, etc)!? I made a doctors appointment, but its still a few days away - I just wanted to see if anyone had additional input!. Thanks ahead of time!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The muffled hearing can be attributed to fluid and/or wax still in the ear canal!. An ENT can remove that without water!. Debrox is effective but drying; the vinegar/water mixture was a good choice!. You may need it still to help with the itching!. Just dry well after!
A fungal infection is possible but not all that common!. The pH is probably causing the itching and the vinegar should help again!. Keep your appointment to make sure infection is resolved!.
Most people don't need Debrox regularly!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
