Torn between caring and earning money?

My darling mum has been diagonised with cancer but I live in UK and she is abroad. I feel that I should be there with her at present to support and take care of her as I don't feel the care she's getting is good enough. On the other hand she's been having chemo which is very expensive there and I need to work to pay for it. I feel guilty for not being there, but it would be worse if the chemo was stopped due to luck of money. Help me get a peace of mind as its very hard for me at present.

NB; Its not easy working in Africa at present, if I got a job there today, I'l be there tommorrow. As for coming to UK. one has to show that they have means to afford private care before they can be granted a Visa to come.

This is not quite the same situation, but I feel the sentiments are similar.
My story is this. On New years Eve 1999, my eldest daughter came to our house to spend the time with us, leaving her husband to go celebrate on his own. Just one week before I had been diagnosed with breast cancer. After a while, and a swap of several text messages, I asked her if she wanted to be with him. She said that she did, but what about me? I told her her life was her own, she owed me nothing, and not to be sitting with me wishing she was elsewhere.
I know you feel somehow responsible for your Mum, but if her treatment stops because you go care for her, where is that of any use?If she needs the drugs and you can only pay for them by working here, then you are doing your best for your Mum. You are caring. You are being a loving daughter. Just be with her in spirit, and tell her so.
