Should I get tested for oral herpes?!

Question: Should I get tested for oral herpes!?
I have gone out with a girl and discovered that she gets fever blisters around her mouth once in a while!. As far as I understand, this means she is carrying the herpes simplex 1 virus, as does most of the population!. I don't have any reason to believe that I have it, and I don't fancy the idea of contracting it!. Would it be reasonable/easy/difficult to get myself tested in some way to see if I have it already so I will know if I'm risking picking up the disease by dating this person!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:

Sure, if you want to get tested you can by your family doctor!. It's a simple blood test and at the same time you can get checked for all STD's!. I've been checked, its not a big deal!. Just because you kissed someone that has the virus doesn't mean you will!. There are many people who have the #1 virus and never have an outbreak!. With that being said your at risk with who ever you kiss throughout your life!. Lifes crazy huh! If it will make you feel better, get tested!. ((hug))Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a possibility that you may have contracted oral herpes as a child from a family friend or relative giving you a kiss on the cheek while they had an out break of oral herpes, you were too young to remember having an out break and possibly never had one since!. This is how most people get out breaks to begin with!.
It's kind of easy, and reasonable to get a blood test but they can be inaccurate!. You should get a blood test done since you have no symptoms!. I should warn you that some places may not be willing to test you because of this!.
If you have just caught oral herpes you may not have enough antibodies to test for which may give you a false negative!.
If you have had oral herpes for a long time then you may get a more accurate result!.
I should explain a few things to you>>>
If you kissed her while she was having an out break then you would more likely get oral herpes from her!.
If you kissed her while she had no out break there would be a very small chance of you getting herpes from her!.
Also cold sores and fever blisters are the same things as oral herpes and they can be passed onto the genitals since they are contagious during an out break!.
I have oral and genital herpes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
