What type of doctor should I see for hives?!
Question: What type of doctor should I see for hives!?
The regular doctor just isn't cutting it!. Should I start with an Allergist, a Dermatologist, or a doctor who specializes in Autoimmune Diseases!? Not sure what the last one is really called!. I can't figure out what I am allergic to because NOTHING has changed and it happened suddenly!. Nothing has worked to clear them!. My skin is practically dead from all the Benadryl ointment so it doesn't itch AS bad!. Help please :( it's been three weeks!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My doctor was pretty useless in this department as well!. She tells me hives are usually caused by an allergy (duh) and so is the swelling (I have facial swelling, mostly eyes and lips) and it only happens in the winter (go figure) She told me I would probably never find out what I'm allergic too, but yet I have to think that my doctor would want to help and not have me walking around like an itchy fish face all winter!. I'm not really sure who you should go to first but if you have insurance like mine you have to go back to your doctor anyway to get a referral so I would just ask the doc who they think will be the most useful at this point!. I would think an allergist because that's where hives usually come from!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

seek help from a dermotologist!. if it is a skin allergy then they can help you as well as something else you could be allergic toWww@Answer-Health@Com
I'd suggest a Dermatologist first then they can refer you to somebody else that they think can help you better (if need be)!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
