Question: Too much blood in system!?
My nephew had been throwing up and went to the doctor!. The doctor took blood work then told my brother that my nephew had too much blood in his system!. Has anyone ever heard of this!? Do you know what causes it or what can be done for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only thing that I can think of is hemochromatosis or congestive heart failure, which can cause an increased blood volume!. I have included a link below on hemochromatosis, which is treated by patient's donating blood!. However, I think that it may be something more microscopic and that perhaps the doctor was talking about his platlet counts and might have meant nothing by it!. If your brother is unsure of what the doctor meant, he should call him back for a better description from the doctor!.

What!? Ok, so by taking a sample of blood, the doctor can determine how much blood overall is in a body!?
