Answers:
For starters, PCI stands for Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and is a procedure that envolves stenting of a clogged coronary artery!.

If someone had a "Primary PCI", it means he got the procedure in the setting of an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack, in plain and simple English) and prior development of a myriad of complications a myocardial infarction can cause!.

So, technically, the procedure is the same, but the timeframe in which it was provided to a specific patient is different!.

Besides, one can be a candidate for a PCI without having a previous heart attack!. I!.e!. a patient can have angina (chest pain) and after a postive stress test to be sent for a coronary angiography which showed he/she should undergo a PCI!.
