i wash my hands all the time and i just cant get rid of it!.!.

it goes away then always comes back

MRSA often "lives" in the nostrils or on the skin!. Washing your hands often is great!. The initials M!.R!.S!.A!. refer to any staph bacteria that are resistant to particular anti-biotic that are commonly used to treat other infections and often tend to be over-prescribed!. Just because you are a carrier doesn't mean it will kill you, though it can be contagious!. The infection becomes dangerous when it gets into your bloodstream!. It is common to have recurrences of the infection even after you've been treated!.!.!.it's important to complete treatments (Vancomycin) all the way through so that the bacteria is killed completely and doesn't just become stronger!. There are a few other antibiotics used to treat MRSA infections if you react poorly to or stop responding to Vanco!.!.!. If you have open wounds, even scratches, be sure to keep them disinfected, but if you suspect a MRSA infection, go to your doctor and talk to him or her about previous infections and they should take cultures of the area to confirm the infection and proceed with treatment!. It's a serious infection, but there is treatment for it!. Mupirocin ointment applied to the nostrils (use a sterile q-tip for EACH nostril) and to suspected MRSA-infected lesions is a common and effective treatment to prevent blood infection!.
