Any suggestions on how to stablize blood sugar?
My husband has been on oral meds for about 3 months- and his levels have been good until just a couple of days ago. He had a great reading of 95 before dinner on sat. And since sunday morning when he has checked it , it has not been lower that 187. Nothing different in his diet.

exercise , unfortunately is out of the question- he is permanently disabled as well. Thanks for the answers so far.

He is on Starlix- this is the only oral med that our health insurance covers except for Gluchopage (sp) due to side effects he cannot take it

Which oral med is he on?
He may have a mild infection.
Increase his soluble fiber intake. Make sure it's spread out evenly during the day and have him drinking plenty of water.
He might be sneaking "bad carb" snacks.
