What can I do about my neighbor's second-hand smoke?
I live next door to a woman that smokes all evening in her house with her windows open. Our homes are close to each other. Now that it's summer, and we don't have air-conditioning, we leave our windows open as well. The smell of second-hand smoke coming into our house is quite bothersome. I have a toddler and it's not healthy for him or any of us. Is there anything I can do? Thank you for your kind suggestions.

Legally I not sure that there is anything that you can do. However, depending on your relationship with this neighbor you may wish to approach her with an open and none threatening manner. Just state the facts. Lets her know that it's bothering you. If she is a tennant, perhaps you may be able to cantact the owner of the house. You may also consider placing a window fan facing outward on low. I know how annoying this all can be. I hope that your situation can be resolved. Best of luck.
