Macrobid, need advise?
On Monday my doc prescribed macrobid for me due to an UTI. Usually I am allergic to penicillin,sulfa,keflex and trimethoprim. I was kind of hesitant to take the macrobid cause I dont want another allergic reaction. I am feeling a bit funny since I take it, kind of nauseous right after intake and dizzy. It goes away after 2-3hrs after the intake of macrobid. The thing is on Friday I go on a 24hr flight and I am wondering whether I should stop the macrobid tomorrow or not. I dont want to get a serious allergic reaction while I am on the plane. I know about the risk getting this UTI back. I am drinking cranberry juice all day long, eating yogurt etc. I dont have any symptoms since monday after i started taking the fist dose of macrobid. I know that means nothing, the bacteria could still be there. I am not sure if I should stop taking it or not, first my doc said I need it only for 5 days but then I got my prescription for 7days. Tomorrow would be the 4th day. Any advise?
