Answers:
Definitely sounds like shingles (herpes Zoster) which is a similar virus as Cold sores, genital herpes and also Chickenpox!. There are 8 strands of the herpes virus - the one that causes chickenpox and shingels is airborne!. It is also possible to transfer the virus from your mouth to your genital on your fingers!.

I think if you're worried that you need to go back to your doctor and ask more questions, especially for your little boy, he sounds like he's had a confusing time!.

Don't worry - is is hugely unlikely he is sexually active!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably shingles!. Other option is that you have genital herpes and transmitted it to your son at childbirth!. Find out what type of herpes it is!.

Herpes simplex virus type 1, type 2, or Herpes zoster!.

HSV1 usually causes cold sores!. If it is this, he probably has an immune disorder!.

HSV2 is sexually transmitted!. Could be abuse or transmission at childbirth

Zoster is chickenpox/shingles and he should also be evaluated for immune dysfunction!.

When it comes to various classes of herpes, it is best to be sure which one is being referred to!. It is possible he had "Herpes zoster" (also known as 'shingles')!. Shingles is not transmitted sexually!. Please see this: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Shingles

I am not saying he has/had any specific type of herpes!. I am saying to be sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with the previous answer!. Shingles appear on your back and stomach but is not a STD!. It's a reactivation of the old chicken pox virus that lingers along your spinal cord after you've had chicken pox!.

Otherwise, you'd have to talk to your 11 year old about sexual contact to know if he'd been abused by someone!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
