Question: How to remove mucus deep in throat!?
I have been coughing for over a week now, and my throat has been awkwardly changing in feelings of ache, scratchiness, dryness, etc!. Now it feels like its almost gone, but I am retaining a mucus very deep in my throat!. It is very hard to cough up, and when I do more mucus quickly takes its place!. I'm pumping juice and cough drops, but they don't seem to be helping the mucus issue!.

Instead of juice try drinking good old fashioned H2O!. The cough drops may be hindering your body's natural ability to clear secretions from your airways!. So you may want to lay off of those too!. A cough is the body telling you there is something that doesn't belong in your lungs or more specifically in your airways!. By taking a cough suppressant you may be hindering that natural reaction!. Many times what feels like mucous deep in the throat is actually just swelling, which is why it feels like it is so hard to get the mucous up!. Acid reflux can aggravate this so if you have heartburn take some OTC meds for that, along with Mucinex in case it really is thick phlegm!. drink plenty of water!. Consider using a cool mist vaporizer by your bed at night to prevent drying in your sleep!. Avoid alcoholic beverages!. And if this persists more than a few days and especially if you are a smoker, get examined by a physician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
