For over six months in have had almost constant pressure headache?!
Question:
For over six months in have had almost constant pressure headache?
the headache is not painful but i feels like I am wearing a crash hat . Originally it was centred above the forehead to the front of the head , I also have a red rash on each side of my neck that joins up above the breast bone ,i feel slightly hotter than normal . i dont have any specific pain as such just general discomfort an a feeling of being unwell . I am still able to work
.I was originally diagnosed as having a viral infection and given antibiotics for chest infection .Just lately i have had blood tests for glandular fever and hepatitis both negative and i am awaiting a scan for liver .As i am diabetic and do not have good control my doctor seems to believe they may be related but im not so sure .Any ideas/help would be great and should i book a holiday for next year or is it not worth it !!
Answers:
LOL - yup - mention diabetes and ALL your symptoms happen because of it! I'm sick & tired of my doc telling me "well, it could be a diabetes related thing you know"?!!!
So I really feel for you there!
Your symptoms actually sound quite worrying - but why the doc would give you antibiotics for a viral infection I'm not sure (or am I just misreading that bit?)
I realise you have already been sent to various hospital clinics and appointments - but it may well be worth getting another GP's point of view on your symptoms. Your doctor will have the most experience and understanding of areas he/she has covered in the past - meeting & talking with another GP you will at least get a different background of experience to draw on.
Good luck (oh - and watch out for - bowel problems, urinary infections, allergies, frozen shoulders, bursitis of the hips any kind of short sightedness - ALL of them OBVIOUSLY to do with diabetes ;-p)
