Is a cardiac stress test necessary for an apparently healthy 24-year-old?!

Question: Is a cardiac stress test necessary for an apparently healthy 24-year-old!?
My doctor says I should do this as part of a regular check up!. She happens to be a cardiologist, so I'm wondering if this is really something most doctors ask for or if it's just her!. I'm GUESSING that she also wants this because I have complained about being tired despite a relatively lower level of activity (which I think is probably related to stress and anxiety since my lab work came back ok)!. But still!.!.!.I think my insurance company is going to be pissed because this sounds like an unecessary test!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No it's not part of a regular check up!. That being said, your check up isn't normal to begin with!. When most people refer to a check up they mean their yearly physical when they go even though nothing is bothering them!. Even though she's a cardiologist, she wouldn't just mention a cardiac stress test without something being wrong!. The fact that you are tired all of the time would suggest that something is wrong!. The first step is to check your blood!. If that comes back normal the next progression would be further testing!. Because your doctor is a cardiac specialist, it's common for them to go with heart problems!.

I do have a question though!. Why are you seeing a cardiologist in the first place!? Most don't moonlight doing general practice since they are paid more for cardiac specific services and went to school for a lot longer!.!.!. If you have a preexisting heart problem, your doctor may want to look to see if your heart is in trouble!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
