Answers:

The ureters are long tubes joining the kidneys to the bladder. These are the channels through which urine passes, from the kidneys to the bladder. The kidneys are situated more towards the back, so the middle of the ureter is somewhere towards the lower back. Look at these links for a better idea of the location of the kidneys -

It is difficult to say how many inches between the mid ureter and the bladder since the length of the ureter varies in different people.

Sometimes when a kidney stone becomes lodged in the ureter it may pass out in the urine in a few days or it could take longer... depending on the size of the stone. In some cases if the stone is too large to pass on its own, surgery may be required. For more information on kidney stones, visit http://www.comprehensive-kidney-facts.co...

Drink lots of water to help push the stone out. There are natural products that can be used to help dissolve kidney stones. Work with your doctor to find the best solution for you. It is important for the stone to be removed as soon as possible since, over time, it can cause kidney damage and lead to kidney failure.
