Why Didn't Accutane Help Me? Help Me!!!!!!!!!!?!

Question: Why Didn't Accutane Help Me!? Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!?
I took 20mg/day for 5 months, and it didn't help me at all!. I have mild acne, however it is extremely persistent and inflammatory!. I just get pustules and blackheads, never papules, nodules, or cysts!. I seen people with severe acne get perfect skin after a 5-6 mnth course, and I'm bummed it didn't work for me!. I'm thinking of taking 40mg/day for 5-6 months, what do you think!? Will this work since it's twice the dose!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that this is a better question for your dermatologist!. I was on accutane for two treatments in the 80's when it first came out!. I don't remember the dosage, but I know that I got a lot of side effects including EXTREMELY swollen and chapped lips!. My lips were so swollen that the dentist thought I had some terrible disease!. I knew it was just the accutane!. My bones also got very sore when I walked, and I developed several severe skin infections because my skin got so dry and somewhat thin!.

The first treatment helped, but then it came back!. The doctor put me on a second treatment, but toward the end of the treatment, I still had some bad cysts!. I got very depressed that the acne was still there!. I talked to my mother, and she told me to sit down in the kitchen chair!. She put both her hands on my face and massaged it a little and then prayed over me that God would heal my skin!. I felt better after she did that, but didn't think much more!. The next week, my skin began to totally clear, and kept getting better for a while!. I still had some breakouts, but the bad cysts were not there!. I felt that my mother's prayer had a lot to do with the outcome!.

Also, when I was on the accutane, I got EXTREMELY depressed!. I would start crying in the middle of my work and have to go to the bathroom so nobody would know!. I didn't even understand why I felt so incredibly sad!. In those days, they didn't know that that is a major side effect of accutane!. So if you take it, just keep that in mind!. When I went off of it, people were amazed at how happy I seemed to be!.

I think you need to see your dermatologist and discuss it!. If you are just being seen by a family doctor, get an appointment with a dermatologist!. Have you tried the Retin-A microgel!? It works pretty good also!. Sometimes, you have to use more than one medication to get clear skin, so talk to your doctor and tell him how much it is affecting your self-esteem!.

Also, try not to use any harsh scented soaps on your skin, as sometimes they can irritate and cause more acne!. Do some websearches on acne to learn more!. There are even people who posted on YOutube about their acne!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would try proactiv for a few weeks first!. It may be expensive, but it works!. I haven't been able to find anything else that works quite as well!. Accutane, as I'm sure you're aware, can have bad psychological side effects, and should be avoided if you don't really need it, although I took it for a while and noticed no adverse effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try opening your pores in the morning!.by wiping your face with a warm cloth!.don't touch your face!.you know how you lean on your hand when doing school work !?don't do that the germs from your hands you get on your face!.when you go for your shower just use some hypo-allergenic soap!.wash your face then just pat it dry don't rub!.30 minutes after that use this stuff see if it works for you!.zapzyt it's in a tub!.your face needs some oils!.if you don't do it right your skin gets dry and sends signals to your oil pores to produce!.and then you get oils in all the wrong spots and that makes you break out even more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
