Answers:
Cancer patients are not necessarily thin!. Many put on weight during chemotherapy as a result of steroids - I had a huge appetite during chemo and put on over 20 lbs!. Many people I know had the same experience!.

Some people find nausea puts them off food during chemo, and will lose weight!. Few people spend much time throwing up though - anti-emitics are very good these days and while feeling nauseous is pretty much inescapable during chemo, puking isn't!.

Chemotherapy is a treatment many, though not all, cancer patients have, and many, though not all, chemotherapy regimes cause hair loss!. Radiotherapy/radiation only causes hair loss when the treated area has hair, eg the head!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is apparently some sort of "wasting" chemical being expressed by their bodies - and it sure takes the weigh off these people quickly!. If we could somehow control the chemical we could use it to get people to lose some weight!. But with cancer, it's a lousy way to lose weight!.

And then a lot of them are bald because the cancer drugs kill off their hair follicles!. It's all a miserable thing!

I was in a mining town where people live in a pretty toxic environment, and we went into a Goodwill place to look around!. There was a huge container completely filled with wigs!. We asked about these - they were the wigs that all the cancer patients in town had - and they had all presumably died and these wigs were all that remained!. It was sort of spooky!. Cancer cells rob the other cells of their nutrients!. Therefore, the normal cells cannot grow properly!.
Many cancer patients are bald because they are going through radiation treatment, chemotherapy, or both!. The radiation and chemicals they must subject themselves to cause their hair to fall out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yea, the chemo and radiation are the only things that make their hair fall out!. It's called alopecia!.

If they're not on these treatments, they usually keep their hair!.

Another main side effect of chemo is a loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting!. This is more common than loosing hair!.

I've seen plenty of patients who aren't thin though!. It just depends on the person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it starves you to deathWww@Answer-Health@Com

the chemo makes them lose their hair, and they are probably so thin because of the chemo and because their bodies are working so hard to fight the cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Chemo and radiation treatment make you extremely sick!. Throwing up is a way of life for them!. Hair loss is a side effect of treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Radiation from chemotherapy makes them lose their hair and they are thin because they eat less than they did when they were healthy!. Their bodies are being attacked and it's a losing battle!.
How sad, eh!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

because Cancer and Chemotherapy attacks fast growing cells!.
you'll notice that the persons nails will be brittle as well!.
hair and nails are both fast growing cells!.
Www@Answer-Health@Com

They are bald because chemo attacks good and bad cells and I'm not really sure why they are so thin, it's probably because of the chemo too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they are dying of a wasting illness loveWww@Answer-Health@Com
