Is milk thistle any good for your liver?!

Question: Is milk thistle any good for your liver!?

I took milk thistle for a liver problem and asked my gastroenterologist about it!. What he said was that there is 'no proof' that it works, but that it can't do any harm!.
However, I know of people who swear by it!. One person I know of credits milk thistle with literally saving his life when he was suffering from liver failure!. I think it can be a wise move to take it, as it won't harm you, may well do you some good, and is inexpensive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
