Sinus infection or Flu Virus ? or Allergy?!

Question: Sinus infection or Flu Virus !? or Allergy!?

From last couple of days I had Sinus congestion (around facial and chest area)!. It got worse when I get exposure to Cold weather outside!.
I have been drinking Peppermint Tea and staying inside!.
Congestion is much better now!. However I still have Sinus drainage and itchiness in throat!.

Since yesterday, i am getting cold chills and flu like symptoms including weakness in lower legs and feet, no fever though!.

I went to Doctor today and explained by recent symptoms!.
He told me that I have some kind of virus and hence didn't prescribe me Anti-Biotics!. He just gave me Advil for Sinus and Cold

I wanted to ask if flu Virus can cause cold chills and Weakness in lower legs and feet!.

thanks in advnce

Answers:
Many people think that viruses cannot cause "as serious" symptoms as bacterial infections!.

It does sound like you have a virus!. Influenza or the Flu is also a virus!. This can cause moderate fevers, aches, pains, cough and severe cold symptoms as well as generalized weakness!.

For remaining congestion I would recommend Mucinex!. For my recent cold, it really loosens up the mucous (you produce more) and you will feel much better!.

For your aches/pain and fever take Ibuprofen or Tylenol!.

There is not much else you can do other then give it time!. Continue to eat well-balanced meals, get plenty of sleep and rest!.
