Question: My hands are dry, cracked, itchy, smell like rotting flesh!?
I've been doing a lot of cleaning because I'm moving!. I cleaned the oven with oven cleaner, the cabinets with a bleach and water solution, wash my hands with dish soap many times before I eat (to get rid of chemicals) etc!. I don't use gloves either!. This has been going on for about a week now!.!.!. I think the bleach is doing the worst to my hands because a base mixed with fat creates a soap right!? Well, my hands STINK! A smell so foul and disgusting!.!.!.!. ew!. I also have been cutting up onions!.!.!. How can I get rid of the smell!? I tried soap, lotions, etc and it still won't go away or feel softer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You've damaged your skin and nails with all the chemicals!. Hopefully, the smell isn't from an infection!. Leave all the lotions off until they heal!. Try washing them in a gentle soap, rinse well, then apply both an antibiotic ointment such as neosporin or polysporin and also a small amount of cortisone cream!. As for the nails, they'll just have to grow out!. After the skin is healed, you could polish them for cosmetic purposes!.
The next time you have to use caustic chemicals, be a little kinder to your hands!. After all, you wouldn't do this to your face, would you!?
