Herpes outbreak and dormancy?!

Question: Herpes outbreak and dormancy!?
Is it possible to not have any, and I do mean any symptoms of herpes for 2 years and then they appear!? Everywhere I read people say you'll at least mistake it for something but I remember when it should have happened and I never received anything for 30days+ and it's been 2 years now!. I have noticed a little blisterish bump on the lower part of the scrotum and it worries me, though it's been so long I want to tell myself it's something else!. Figured I'd ask before I head to a doctor and get myself worked up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's better to ask the doctor then on here as on line diagnosis can be tricky!.
Herpes can lie dormant for long periods of time!. I have gone months with out having an out break then all of the sudden I would get itchy and tingly down there and a blister or sore would appear!. Herpes is not usually a regular occurring thing, but every one with herpes is different!.
If you have had sex recently then you could have gotten herpes from them!. 1 in 5 adults in North America has genital herpes!.
If your worried then don't be afraid!. Doctors have seen it all before, so go and get the blistery thing tested!. That is the only way to find out for sure!.
I have oral and genital herpes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is unlikely that you would have had it for years with no symptoms at all!. However, it is possible!.
The only way to know for sure, if you don't have any symptoms, is to have a blood test!. If it comes back showing antibodies then you are positive for Herpes Simplex Virus!. If this is the case, ask which type!. Type 1 is generally oral and type 2 is generally genital although both can be transferred to either area!.
Lindsay mentioned that 1 in 5 people have HSV2!. In addition to that, apparently, 4 out of 5 (80%) people have HSV1, also known as cold sores!. (So if you don't have it, you're in the minority!)
There's no reason to get worked up!. Just get the test so you can either put your mind at rest or read up on how to deal with having herpes!.
Good luck with it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
