Question: My moms jaw is paralyzed, what can we do!?
My mom has a lot of nervous issues, she is a clean freak and overreacts when my room is not clean (which is very often)!. After about a week of my messy room, her jaw got paralyzed!. She suffers many emotional issues and stuff, so I contributed greatly to it!. Now the left side of her jaw is paralyzed!. She is going to a an Otolaryngologist on Monday!.
What should she do until then!? Would gum chewing help her!? I am her teenage son!. How can I help her!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

this must be very stressful for you, but its great that you are looking for ways to help her!. She can try putting a warm compress on the left side of her face!.!.she can put it next to the bottom of her jaw and also the part of the jaw parallel to the middle of her ear!.!.where her jaw hinges!. I did this when my jaw would lock and it really helped, so hopefully it will help your mom! She can use a towel and warm water to do this!.
