What is this gooey, weeping, painful wound on my leg?!

Question:

What is this gooey, weeping, painful wound on my leg?

I have a wound on my leg that started out as a small, cyst-like sore. But it quickly surfaced. Within a day or so, it became an open wound. So now, it leaks fluid whenever I sit down or move around. I have tried squeezing it several times before. Twice, it spurted out a stream of greenish chunky liquid. Now it mostly just leaks chunky blood and pus, and its an open, messy, gooey wound. I have tried keeping a warm compress on it and cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide, but thats not working. I'm assuming it's infected, but I think there's something more going on. I also recently had a Staph Infection (about 4 to 6 months ago), but that may or may not be related, I don't know. What is wrong with my leg?

Answers:

I suspect u are diabetic but u don't need to be to have this. I used to get these "weeping soars" on my left leg, where they usually appear as the left leg's blood circulation is slower than the right. It's not an infection persay, but can develope into a serious infection called "cellulitis" which can turn into gangrene. Keep ur legs elevated when sitting. see a Dr. NOW. He'll probably give u water pills to rid ur legs of excess fluid. This substance comming from ur leg is not puss,Dr. calls it "body serum".Best advice I can give u now is wear low cut socks & shoes below ankle. The purpose in this is to help circulation in ur legs & feet. Walking increases circulation.Easey on the salt. This wound needs to be treated by a "wound specialest" where they will clean it,wrap it and teach u how to get rid of it.I seriuosly doubt it's a staph infection as u wud have a hellava fevor and it wudn't linger around like this but get much worse real fast. Staph will kill u . GO NOW!
