Treating Fleas While Pregnant?!

Question:

Treating Fleas While Pregnant?

I'm seven months pregnant with twins, and they're my first children ever. While we work hard to keep our house clean, and our pets are indoor only, we recently had to care for a dog belonging to a friend, and now our house is infested with fleas.
Is there a way for me to safely treat my animals and my home without risking harm to my twins?

Answers:

Get products for the carpet that contain the hormone that kills the flea eggs, but have someone else apply it. The house will have to be picked up thoroughly and the carpets and soft furniture treated. I would have a friend do this right when you are leaving for vacation. Then come back and have the carpet cleaner clean all the same areas. If you don't use the hormone, vacuuming and carpet cleaning actually activate the flea eggs and hatch new ones.

Vacuum frequently her-forward and insist that you cannot house an animal that has not been treated with frontline or its equivalent.
