Gardisil.. help??
I got the gardisil shot today that is supposed to protect you from HPV. After i got it the doctor explained to me how they've only been studying the vaccine for about a year now and they don't even know the long term effects of it yet. Well after hearing this i decided i'm going to wait to get the other two parts of the shot untill they've found more out about it. Since i already had the first shot, if i don't get the other two will the first one clear out of my system?

Both Gardasil and Cervarix have been tested in thousands of people in the United States and many other countries. Thus far, no serious side effects have been noted. The most common problem has been brief soreness at the site of injection and other local injection site symptoms commonly experienced with other vaccines.
If you dont get 2nd and 3rd shots, the 1st antigen might not be enough to reach / higher enough to body system to recognize pathogen antigen and to giving response by make hpv antibodies.
(Studies thus far have shown that Gardasil can provide protection against HPV 16 for 4 years)
