Question: Oral Herpes husband! Just found out!.!?
I just found out today my husband has oral herpes!. Ive been married to him for 8 yrs and so far I never had any symptoms nor outbreak!. For 8 yrs he had 2 outbreaks but he told me it was just a cold sore!. I never knew it was herpes!. Im really upset right now bec!. he's been hiding it from me!. Do you think i have oral herpes now!? So far i have no symptoms and i dont remember kissing him when he had his outbreaks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Haven't you ever heard of the herpes zoster virus, that's what causes the cold sores, if you get one, you'll have the virus for life!.
I know it's contagious but some people never catch it!. I've had those blisters on my lip and my hubby has never had a cold sore in his life!.
So don't blame him or be mad at him!. Read up on it and it will make sense to you!. Just be careful not to let his mouth touch you when his sores are open or oozing!. You're gonna be okay don't worry!.
It's not like he has a disease that he needs to announce publicly so that everyone knows he has it, i'm sure he's not proud of it, those sores are awful and itchy and very painful!.

When he has a cold sore, we do not kiss or even have sex!. I don't want to scare you but there is a chance of you getting genital herpes if he gives you oral sex!. BUT this will probably only happen if he gives you oral sex when he has a cold sore!.
Just don't do anything when he gets them, and you'll probably be fine!. You've gone 8 years without having an outbreak!. Maybe you have never contracted the virus, but there is also a chance you already have it but you're just one of the lucky ones that never are affected by symptoms!. honesty i'm not surprised that you're surprised to find out that your husband has herpes (cold sores) on his mouth!. Before I met Y/A, I didn't know ANYTHING about STD like herpes and other diseases !. Its ok for not knowing because cold sore is a form of the herpes simplux virus!. I wouldn't know that too if I didn't research more about this virus so don't freak out!. At least 60% or maybe 70% of the population has it!. Alot of people said 80% or 90% but I think the statistic is way too exaggerating!.!.!.!.or perhaps some people are carriers so they don't show symptoms but still, saying 80% of the people has the virus is ridiculous to me from my point of view!. None of my family, relatives or friends has it and I rarely (or never) met ANYONE with an active cold sores on their mouth!.

Cold sores are HSV1-herpes simplex virus 1!. Approximately 80% of the population have this!. Most get it from a relative that kissed them while they were young!. If he told you he had cold sores than he did tell you!. It's possible you have this but the only way to know for sure is to be tested!. As others have stated it is possible to spread this to the genitals through oral sex!.

Okay!. Th only way to know for sure is to be screened by a doctor for herpes!. Once you know, there are great medications to help suppress further outbreaks!. Your husband should of been honest with you & also should of been on that medication and got some basic education from the doc on when to avoid being intimate to prevent spreading this disease!. You can spread herpes regardless of having an outbreak or not!. Oh dear he is in a lot of hot water!. If you got this you will have it for life!. I am so sorry hun!. At least it's only oral!. It could be worse!

Cold sores are a version of Herpes everyone get them it not a sign he is cheating on you!. it not like genital herpes which is a sign he is cheating look at the attached link

dang that sucks and i'm thinking chances are you do!. Go see a doc and hear his diagnosis!. I cant stand it when people arnt honest with themselves and effect others!Www@Answer-Health@Com
