What would happen if you had a low blood sugar level?!

Question: What would happen if you had a low blood sugar level!?
Okay!. If you had a low blood sugar level and you didn't know you were diabetic, what would happen!? How long would you stay in hospital for, and what medication would you have (including that for your diabetes)!? Are there any complications that may arise and cause you to stay in hospital for more than the usual time!? Thanks heaps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could have seizures, faint and/or go into a comatose state!. When you're blood sugar hits too high, and your diabetic, your pancreas releases too much insulin and causes it to drop!. Depending on what kind of reaction you had when your sugar dropped would be about how long you would remain hospitalized!. As for medication, you could be put on an insulin regime which will manually control your sugar levels!. You will need a glucose monitor to check your blood sugar regularly throughout the day, especially around meals, and your diet will be either slightly or significantly restricted!. Complications can arise being as minor as hot flashes during the night to having to have your feet amputated!.

Diabetes can be the result of diet, lifestyle, and genetic family history!. To see if you're at risk, consult your doctor and see what measures you can take to see if your diabetic, and if you're not, what you can do to prevent from becoming it!. Take care of yourself!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi! Everything crys said is correct, but I'd like to add a little about how important it is to avoid becoming Diabetic! I've been Diabetic for over 10 yrs!. now & I assure you that it changes your whole life & how you live it!. You are under a much greater risk for heart attack & stroke, let alone blindness & losing your limbs!. You can avoid getting it by eating a good diet,I know that's what everybody says,so I'll tell you an easy way to remember just what a good diet is!.If everyone, not just Diabetic's followed this diet,no one would be hungry or overweight!. You need to eat small meals every 4-5 hours that contain equal parts of proteins & carbo's!. Proteins are meat, cheese, peanut butter or beans & we all know what carbos are, pasta, rice, potatoes etc!. You can have all the veggies & salads you want!. But the trick is equal parts of the other two!. Like a palm size of each!. That's it!. You see proteins bring your blood sugar down & carbs bring it up,so that's where the equal parts come in,it balances you out!.It becomes an easy way of life as soon as you get it down & of course exercise!. I hope this helps you & anybody else who may be Diabetic!. You really don't want to get it because the side effects are very dangerous!.But sticking to the diet, you feel great! Anyone will have lot's of energy & feel so much better for it! Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
