Answers:
There is really no protection against herpes accept using common sense!. Even condoms do not offer 100 percent protection because they don't cover 100 percent of the genitals!. Herpes likes skin to skin contact usually during sex to be passed on!.
Basically>>>If you have a partner with herpes then just DO NOT have any kind of sex while they have any signs of out break!. Wait until it completely heals and then wait a day or two just to be on the safe side!. The rest of the time there is some viral shedding going on which means that there is still a small chance of getting herpes between out breaks!. If they are on some kind of suppressive treatment that would even further reduce your risk of getting herpes from them!. Herpes is for life once you get it and there is no cure!.

Symptoms for oral herpes:
Burning, dry chapped skin , and or itcning and or tingling sensations usually at one spot around the mouth!. Then a pimply thing appears which could break out into a fever blister or cold sore (oral herpes)!.

Symptoms for gential herpes:
Flu like symptoms
Itching, burning and or tingling sensations under the skin of the genitals!.
Trouble or burning when peeing!.
swollen genitals!.
Blisters, cuts or open sores break out on the genitals!. They stay there for a couple of days then scab over and go away!.
