Chest pain hard time breathing after playing basketball for the first time in a !

Question: Chest pain hard time breathing after playing basketball for the first time in a year!.!?
I use to be pretty athletic and play balls every once in a little while, but ever since college I had little time to play!. Today I played some hooops with my buddy and after playing my lungs felt extremely dry and it took me 20min to recover from the short breath!. During this time my chest kind of hurts when I breath!. Am I sick!? or is it just that I haven't done aerobic sports in too long and Im all out of shape!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Does the pain suddenly started and feel sharp!? Or does it feel like chest tightness or muscle pain!? Only found on one side!? Or both sides!? Do you continue to feel breathless now!? Increasingly breathless!? No longer breathless!? Do you smoke!?

1!. Sudden sharp pain on one side, continue to feel breathless, especially if you are a tall and thin smoker!.!.!. you may have pneumothorax!. This is an emergency!. Go to the doctor asap!.

2!. Increasingly breathless: it can be anything, but go to the doctor soon!.

3!. Chest tightness: it's unlikely (assuming you're a young chap less than 45 y/o) but chest tightness + shortness of breath can be due to heart problems!. Go to the doctor just in case!.

4!. Muscle pain, now recovered from shortness of breath: most likely you're out of shape ;) If you want you can mention this to your doc next time you go in with a flu!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i strongly suggest to go see a doctor!. do you smoke!? shortness of breath n chest pain is enough to have the doctor check it out!. better be save than sorry n also put your mind at ease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
