I didnt tell my mom about my huge sunburn and now....?

I went to the beach yesterday and got a HUGE sunburn ALL down my back, shoulders, and legs and now for the 4th of july we are going swimming and I dont know how to get out of it without her seeing my sunburn. (She is intent upon making sure I swim) What can I say to not go?

I'm really old now, but when I was a teen I got sunburned over and over one summer. After about 4 sunburns one on top of the other, I got huge bleeding blisters that were the size of dinner plates. I ended up at the hospital with second degree burns on my belly and between my boo*s. It was horrible. It took several weeks to heal, and they hurt really bad.
Tell your Mom. Sunburns really are dangerous and can lead to permanent scaring and severe burns, especially in the water. If you have really light, white skin it is even worse. Tell Mom. Get some ointment on them or Noxema and stay away from the water unless you are covered with clothing.
