Im 27 yrs old with a lung mass and scared to death and would like advice on some!

Question: Im 27 yrs old with a lung mass and scared to death and would like advice on some lung surgery!?
Yes, im a 27 year old female, dont smoke, i am typically healthy and average and went in to the Dr because i suddenly coughed up blood!. I have never had any medical problems in the past, except that i frequently have gotten bronchitus as a child and now recently developed it after getting sick!. I had an x-ray due to the coughing up blood, and a 4 cm mass was discovered in my left lung behind my heart!. This is very horrible for me, i am a mess, i cant function or think or eat or sleep, i am terrified!. I was afraid to even get advice on here but i have to face the facts now and just deal with it!. I have already had a CT Scan with iodine done, so they could see it better!. Now, i have a biopsy scheduled this wednesday so they can determine if its cancerous or not!. I literally dont even know what to expect!. I am too young for this crap and im terrified!. The lung specialist has already told me due to the mass/ tumors location i will most likely have to have it removed!. It is really close to an airway he says!. I saw it on the scan and that scared the crap out of me!. i cant believe this thing is in me!. He said my lymph nodes arent 'lit up' so he said it hasnt spread or anything - what ever it is!. So now, can anyone give me any advice, warnings!? What is the CT guided biopsy like, just so i can be ready for it!. And, what is lung surgery like!? im so scared to be asking this right now but i have no one that i know that has ever been through this and im terrified!. I havent talked to the surgeon yet, but the lung specialist has informed me it is possible because of its location that they might have to remove lobes or even the whole left lung!. i cant believe this is happening!. its all too fast!. Please!.!.!. any words of advice!? i have alot of friends and family on my side, but i really feel alone in this!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do not know anything about surgery and am not a doctor but I can offer you some words of wisdom!. Having been through some medical scares in my life, I can understand how you feel!. I felt alone and as if noone understood even my loved ones!. You are going to be OKAY! The most powerful tool you have against any health scare is to be positive!. Know that you are going to be just fine through all of this and that this is just a minor bump in the road!. Staying positive works wonders and convinces your body that you are going to be ok!. Keep positive thoughts surrounding you and even though it is hard, do not think about it constantly!. You are still you, and once this is done with you will still be you!. This will make you a much stronger person and God does not put us through anything we cannot handle!. Surround yourself with family and friends and make it clear that you are a fighter!. You are going to be just fine, I know it, and my prayers are with you sweetie!

Just keep moving forward!.!.!.!.

"No longer forward nor behind
I look in hope and fear;
But grateful take the good I find,
The best of now and here!."

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that you are going through all of this, and at 27! The CT-guided biopsy should be done while you are asleep, so no worries about the procedure being scary or painful!. Afterwards, you might be kind of short of breath, but only for a little while!. You might cough up a little more blood, but it shouldn't be anything substantial!. You'll definitely want to go straight home and rest after the biopsy because you are more likely to get respiratory infections afterward!. You want your body to be strong and rested to fight off infections!.

As a non-smoker, there are a TON of things that this mass could be besides cancer!. If you've had multiple lung infections it could be as simple as scar tissue that has become very inflamed or a benign lung tumor!.

Take one day at a time and things positively through this!. You will be okay!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
