If you have diabetes and do not take medication for it, your blood sugar level would be high!. That's pretty much the definition of diabetes!. If your pancreas is not functioning you would not be metabolizing sugar properly and it would accumulate in the blood stream and urine!.
So, if you had your blood tested and your doctor said you're fine, then you don't have diabetes!.
Many people describe a "crash" after eating sugary foods!. If this happens to you often I think your body is telling your to cut back on the sweets!. Frequent urination can be a symptom of other conditions, did you discuss this with your doctor when you saw him to test your blood!?
Diet and exercise are good for everything! So that surely can't hurt you and can only make you feel better!.
Try limiting concentrated sugar in your diet!. Read labels on everything you eat and be mindful of how many grams of sugar are in the foods that you eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. By definition, diabetes IS high blood sugar!.

BUT !. !. !. !.
Diabetes canNOT be diagnosed by symptoms alone, since there are too many other problems that cause the same symptoms!. For example, diabetes often causes tingling and pain in the hands and/or feet -- but so does a slipped disk!.

Diabetes causes frequent urination -- but so does eating too much watermelon!.

[BTW -- Tiredness when eating sugar is NOT a symptom of diabetes!. That is called a "sugar crash" and happens to just about everybody!.]

ALSO, taking one simply "fingerstick" blood test is NOT a good diagnostic measure, as even a severely diabetic patient will read "normal" once in while!.

The CORRECT test to take is called A1C!. This test takes an AVERAGE of your blood sugars over the last 90 days!. Since it is an average, ti normal "highs" and "lows" are "averaged out", AND -- you do not have to fast before you take the test!.

a NORMAL A1C reading is between 5 and 6!.
a HIGH reading is above 7!. if your A1C reading is high, you may be diabetic!.
a LOW reading is below 4!. if the reading is LOW you are HYPOGLYCEMIC -- the opposite of diabetic!. but this can cause many of the symptoms fo diabetes, too!.

Ask the doctor to do the A1C test, and discuss the results with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of the obvious symptoms of Diabetes is high sugar levels, but also others are-loosing weight, dry skin and a sweet smell coming from your breath!.Go to your doctor and tell them how you feel so you can get sorted out!.Diet and exercise is important for Diabetes, but you aren't sure that you have it!.Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

High Blood Sugar Was A Rarity!.

However when our blood sugar did become elevated it was a sign that we had more energy available than we could currently burn and thus it would be a good idea to store the extra!. "Waste not, want not!." Food was not always available; feast or famine was the rule!. When blood sugar becomes elevated it is a signal for insulin to be released to direct the extra energy into storage!.

A small amount is stored as a starch called glycogen in our body, but the majority is stored as our main energy supply -- fat!. Thus, in this regard insulin's major role is not to lower sugar, but to take the extra energy when available and store it for future times of need!. Insulin lowers glucose as a side effect of directing the extra into storage!.
