Is my cartilage piercing infected?!

Question:

Is my cartilage piercing infected?

I got my cartilage pierced in early march and now it has a wierd whitish red bump on the back of my ear and is tender to the touch. I went to the doctor and she said it was infected, but the antibiotics she gave me don't seem to be working. SHould i go back or is she not going to be helpful?

Answers:

do a warm compress with sea salt. talk a shot glass and fill it with warm water and add a teaspoon of warm water use a cotton ball to soak it. and wash it out twice a day with dial soap that was the only thing that worked for my cartilage piercing.( p.s. it usually takes about six months to a year for that type of piercing to heal)
