Heat sensitivity?!

Heat sensitivity?

I'm wondering if anyone else experiences sensitivity to heat, and if so, have you attributed it to anything in particular?

I literally hate heat. I've not always been this way, it started about 18 months ago and has continuously gotten worse since. I can't stand the hot weather...any temp over 75 makes me miserable. Heating pads for muscles aches...no can do. Hot foods...nope. Hot showers...no no no.

I don't function normally when I'm exposed to heat. I get very sleepy, my nerves are on edge, I'm grumpy, and I have no energy to do anything. I don't even feel like eating, and can't sleep if the ac doesn't keep the house cooled down to about 70.

I really need to figure out what's going on because I live in sunny Florida, and the heat here has been getting worse every year.

I've been to my doctor, he just says I'm being a baby about it...his words exactly. Maybe I am, because it's really annoying, but I'm hoping to find a reason for it, and then a way to fix it

1) You need a new doctor. Don't let a doctor treat you like that.

2) Make sure your new doctor tests your thyroid along with whatever else he may do.
