Can a person who is allergic to peanuts eat peanut butter?!

Question: Can a person who is allergic to peanuts eat peanut butter!?
I know it sounds like a dumb question but let me explain!. This couple I am friends with used to be my roommates!. The girlfriend says she is allergic to peanuts!. Well I have seen her eat peanut butter more than enough times to think she is a liar(plus she is a chronic liar)!. Ive see her eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, reeses peanut butter cups, and peanut butter cookies!. Is she lying or is she really able to eat peanut butter!? She says peanuts make her throat close up and she can't breathe!. But peanut butter is okay for some reason!? Last time I checked peanut butter was made with real peanuts!. I honestly am sick of her crap I am about ready to put a peanut in her food!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
ABSOLUTELY NOT!. If a person is truly allergic to peanut butter - they are allergic to peanuts in ALL forms!. Most people who are allergic to peanut butter can have a moderate to serious reaction just smelling peanut butter or even touching it!. My daughter sat on peanut shells (she had a little dress on) in a restaurant when she was young and immediately went into hives, her throat started to close and we had to rush her to the ER!.

Your friend sounds like she's seriously just looking for attention - it sounds like she likes peanuts in their smoothe form, like PB in candy or cookies, just not in their original solid form!.

I would just ignore her!.

But I would not advise putting a peanut in her food - if she dies - you could be held responsible!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not expert but could not imagine someone who is allergic to peanuts could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches and eat Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!. Most people allergic to peanuts that I have come in contact with can not eat food if it was prepared in the same place as peanuts!. That is why most/all companies put warnings on their labels letting you know their product was made where peanuts have been used!. I feel she may be lying!. Very strange! Maybe someone who is allergic to peanuts will have a better answer!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If she had a true allergy, she would try and avoid peanuts like the plague!. I have a true severe allergy to eggs and have to check, double check and triple check to make sure there are no eggs in what I eat!. Even slight traces can set me off!. I have 2 epi-pens that I carry around with me in case I have something by mistake!. These are emergency treatments for anaphylaxis (severe allergy that is life threatening)!. If she had a true allergy (which I truly doubt from what you have said) she would have these too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely not!. People who are allergic to peanuts should have at least a minor reaction to anything with peanuts in them!. Especially if she claims to have a severe allergy!. If she's allergic to something, she's allergic in all forms that contain it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like she is allergic to the truth!.!.!.!.people like that are often sociopaths as well as habitual liars!.!.!.they use fake medical conditions to satisfy thier need for attention!.!.!.M
