esophageal stents can be beneficial, i had one patient who had it but it apparently got dislodged and was left floating inside his stomach, they took it off and was replaced, he was able to eat small amounts of pureed food and to maintain nutrition, gastrostomy tube was put in the stomach and bolus feeding was given at 4 hours interval
