Alleric reaction to scotch tape?

I posted a question a while ago about summer-itchy hands
well, they WERE getting better and last night to cover a scratch on my hand, I used a piece of cloth, and used scotch tape to cover the the cloth, this morning where the tape touched my skin is tiny red bump/welts!! they sting, not itch
red and ugly. the 'bandage' was off when I woke up and today these pesky things arrived. anyone ever heard of reactions to tape??? yikes!

yep my son is allergic to some adheisives when he was in the hostipal they had to use a tape to hold the tubes on his face and he broke out in something similar to what you discribed
