How does someone who was diagnosed with hepatitis c for 10 years suddenly find out it cant be detected anymor
I have had many many lab tests to check liver levels I know i had it ,now Dr called me and said its gone !!!! where did it go & will it come back?

The only way to know for sure is through the PCR test, as Snout has written in his answer. About 20% of people who are infected with hep c clear the virus on their own but his happens in the acute phase (sometime in the first year). You may want to repeat the PCR test. Sometimes people assume the virus is gone when their liver enzyme levels are within normal limits. This is untrue; liver enzyme levels fluctuate with hepatitis C and 40% of people with the disease have liver enzyme levels within normal limits.
