What are the bad things about having type 1 diabetes? Can you die from it? How do you treat it?

Well it differs mostly in that it requires insulin injections, which can be harmful if not taken properly (the dosages that is). Allowing your blood sugar to get too low can result in a coma or even seizures. The best way to treat it is to keep a close eye on your sugar by monitoring it frequently and eating a proper diet. After having type I for some time, though you can pretty much tell when your blood sugar is getting either too high or too low.
