I am 16 years old, and sometimes just feel as if my chest is tightning up and that sometimes i can't even get a full breathe in but when i do it feels so good!. Just wondering if this could be a cause of any heart problems!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think you mean symptom, not cause!. And yes, it could be!. It could also be triggered by stress, or could be a lung problem!. Talk to your parents to see if there are any heart problems in the family that could cause your symptoms, and talk to your doctor next time you see him!. If the feeling gets worse or comes a lot (more than once a month) then you will want to make an appointment to see your doctor sooner!.

It might also help to know if it happens at any specific times, like after sports or exercise, before a stressful event, or if it seems random!. That can help a doctor figure out what is going on, and help you avoid triggers in the meantime!.

Take care and hope you find the source!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get your lung capacity checked out!. You can get a little instrument to blow into, and keep a daily record!. It's called a peak flow meter!.
Practise breathing lower down, in your stomach (rather than your chest) i!.e!. below your diaphragm!. Make your tummy expand - you'll get lots more air!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

more like a pulled chest muscle, do you exercise at all!? and if really concerned see a doctor, who can do a ECG, a heart testWww@Answer-Health@Com
