My mom put this medicine on my face and after a while it got red?!

I'm guessing your mother used a Retin-A product or similar!. The active ingredient, tretinoin, will cause reddening of the skin!. Usually the doctor starts with a very low strength with advice to use sparingly at first!. Unfortunately many teens want to rid themselves of acne as soon as possible, and over-apply such medications!. I suppose some parents are guilty of this, too!. I doubt that it is an allergy!.

Acne meds containing benzoyl peroxide can cause skin dryness, but occasionally will cause redness, too!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
