Anti biotics didnt work...Do I need to go back to the doctor?!
Question: Anti biotics didnt work!.!.!.Do I need to go back to the doctor!?
Hello,
I have swollen lymph nodes: 3 to be exact, and I have been on two courses of anti-biotics over the 3 weeks!. Neither of them have reduced the swelling or pain!. I tested negative to mono as well as mono titers (spelling)!.
Other symptoms:
fatigue
stomach pains (been to a GI, no help there either)
low white blood cell count
throat pains
Do you think I should go back to the doctor!?
I have also been having stomach pains for the last year or so!.!.I did all of the tests including the celiac panel, and all of them have come back negative!.
Until about a year ago I was an extremely healthy person, never ever sick, and now I feel like my immune system is down a ton! Doctors haven't been of much help!

I say get another doctors opinion!. It's your right to do that!. When you have an infection, your white blood count goes up because that is what helps fight the infection!. The antibiotics were obviously wrong but taking them to long can also cause a number of problems!. Where are the lymph nodes that are swollen!? In your neck!? There is a problem with the ear that can cause the swollen lymph in the neck because it happened to my husband!. He had so much fluid in his ear and he got very sick with an infection!. the doctor had to remove the fluid because the antibiotics didn't help him either!. I know how you feel about stomach pain!. Oh Lord do I know!. I have bleeding ulcers!. Have you had an upper GI exam or were you scoped!. That's when they put you to sleep and put a tube down your throat to look at your stomach and upper intestines!. I have them done so many times, I lost count!. They don't hurt and you only have a sore throat for a day because of the tube!. So that's my advice, Get another opinion!.

sounds like a virus, in this case antibiotics will not help you!. It;s not normal to have these kinds of symptoms week after week!. Try seeing an infectious disease DrWww@Answer-Health@Com
