Under what conditions do cells become cancerous?!

Question: Under what conditions do cells become cancerous!?
I have heard that cells become cancerous all the time and our immune system eliminates them!. Is that true!?

Also, do cancerous cells multiply more rapidly than healthy cells and why!? and why are they so likely to metastasize rapidly!?

Sorry if I used that word incorrectly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No cells don't become cancerous all the time!. Cells do commit suicide (apoptosis) maybe that is what you are thinking of!.

Cells become cancerous for tons of reasons- from exposure to environmental stress, a virus, toxic chemicals, mutations in the genes of the cell (a mutation can turn on a cell division gene so that it is always dividing)!.

The reason they divide all the time is because most cancer cells have genetic mutations and altered cell signaling pathways that tell it to divide all the time!. Also, the cancer cell will turn off the gene to commit suicide, so the cancer cells keep growing without anything stopping them!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, cancer cells don't happen all the time!.!.!.

A good way to think about it is that cancer cells are mutants!. Depending on the kind of cancer, they can multiply more quickly than normal cells as a part of their mutation!. No matter the kind of cancer cell, it is a mutation of a normal cell!.

Metastasis is the spread of cancer from one place in the body to another!. The speed of metastasis depends on the type of cancer and the kind of treatment among other things!.

Hope that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think they do because of carcinogens in the air and water we drink but our immune system eliminates them quicklyWww@Answer-Health@Com
