HIV Antibody Testing (MEIA)?!
Question: HIV Antibody Testing (MEIA)!?
I had an HIV antibody test 8 and Half weeks (2 months) after the possible exposure using Microparticle Enzyme Immunoassay (MEIA) Screening technology!. Can anyone tell me that:
1!. Is MEIA an appropriate method for screening HIV Antibodies!?
2!. How accurate my results are 8 and half weeks (2 months) after the possible exposure!? and what ratio of people turn positive in that period!?
ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Hi, there!.
MEIA is valid HIV screening tool for HIV detection!. After two months post exposure, 95% of people who are HIV+ will test positive!. Well over 99% test positive by 3 months!. In VERY RARE cases of someone with a pre-existing immune condition it can take up to 6 months to test positive!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
