Yes, you can if the tumor is small enough, if it is not multifocal!.

This is one reason that they do neoadjuvant therapy (chemo before surgery)!. It can shrink the tumor allowing breast-conserving surgery!. This is the protocol I followed!.

well you can trust my answer!. my mom has it!. the thing with breast cancer is the type you have!. theres alot of different prroblems that would make you get a mastectomy!. my mother had one of the rarest types of breast cancer!. The tumor would reproduce quickly and if it wasnt caught it wouldve spread extremely fast!. doctors want her to get a mastectomy because the FEAR of getting the same type of cancer and not being able to catch it in time!. the other reason is if you have the breast cancer gene!. theres gene BRCA1 and BRCA2 !. if you have BRCA1 youre in danger of having breast cancer and ovarian cancer and its recommened to take out the breasts (mastectomy)!. if your case is not a harmful type of cancer, youd probably not need one!. but if you have the more harmful type, you should take the breasts out, like that youd know that you can not get breast cancer again !. hope i helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
