as far as causing kidney problems not so much for hypertension!. actually if you have narrowing of the renal(kidney) arteries we try to stent them because of a system called the RAA(renin angiotensin aldosterone)!. basically decreased blood flow to the kidneys will cause your body to increase blood pressure to increase blood flow to the organs!. make sense!? obviously heart attack and stroke are side effects of hypertension, retinal(eye) issues are common also!.
causes of hypotension as stated are othostatic hypotension(standing up to fast(usually caused by dehydration)!. various forms of shock, heart attack can cause decreased heart function thereby causing hypotension!. whew that should give you a headache for awhile! LOLWww@Answer-Health@Com

High blood pressure increases the risk of heart attack and stroke!. Also kidney damage!. Hypotension may be caused by dehydration!. Over heating!. orthrostatic hypotension is low blood pressure when you get up to fast,,,, get up to a sitting position hesitate a bit then stand slowly to avoid dizzy or faint feeling!. shock or blood loss can cause hypotension!.!.!. If blood pressure is very low like in shock you are at higher risk of organ failure, kidneys, heart, brain, not getting proper blood circulation causing debilitation and death can follow!.
